Enviva

Enviva is a renewable energy company that is the largest wood pellet producer in the world. The wood pellets produced in Cottondale FL (in the heart of Northwest Florida’s wood basket) are mixed with coal and used in Europe’s coal burning furnaces to produce electricity and reduce that continent’s carbon footprint. The company also uses electricity produced from landfill methane to power its dryers at its Cottondale facility. Truly, Enviva is a green company!

Georgia Pacific has multiple facilities in the Corridor, including Florida's Great Northwest region and the JAXUSA Partnership Region. Georgia Pacific produces OSB-board for the construction industry from its facility in Liberty County. Based in France, Saft’s U.S. headquarters in Jacksonville makes high-tech lithium-ion batteries, which range in size from a briefcase to a 20-foot container.
